Softcup is a flexible cup that is worn internally, around your cervix. It collects, rather than absorbs menstrual flow. It's hypo-allergenic, latex-free and completely safe when used as directed.Softcup has gained popularity for its many advantages over traditional methods of feminine protection including greater safety, longer wear-time, and clean sex during “that time of the month. Softcup can be worn during any activity including sports, swimming and sleeping.
Use one reusable Softcup for up to 3 cycles, which makes it Easy on the Earth and Easy on the wallet retailing in stores for only R49.99. More than 200 million Softcups have been sold since the product’s introduction in America in 1996, and there has never been a reported incidence of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). In extensive laboratory testing Softcup did not promote the growth of the bacteria that causes TSS. Softcup does not change the body’s natural environment nor does it alter the body’s pH levels, natural bacteria levels or absorb the body’s moisture. “It’s allows me to use the softcup till the last day of my period, even when my flow may be little to none, it’s comfortable and does not cause dryness or irritation” says Amanda Kouaiky, owner of Maybe MOM South Africa.
Frequently asked questions
Can I feel Softcup?
No, when it is inserted correctly you should not feel it
How do I know if the softcup doesn’t fit?
Softcup comes in one size that fits almost all women comfortably and securely. However, you will know right away if Softcup does not fit because it will not stay in place behind your pubic bone. If after insertion the cup tends to slide out, or you cannot get the rim behind the pubic bone, Softcup is probably too large.
Can I insert Softcup too far?
No, Softcup cannot get lost inside the body. When inserted, the rim of the cup is lodged between the pubic bone (just inside the vagina) and the back of the vagina. Softcup covers the cervix, a fleshy knob that feels like the tip of your nose-it is the bottom of the uterus. Menstrual flow comes out of the uterus through a very small opening in the cervix.
Will I experience leakage when I urinate or have a bowel movement?
You may notice slight leakage during this time when your muscles bear down and push the rim slightly forward, allowing some fluid to leak out. When you relax the cup moves back into position and leakage stops. If this is the only time you observe leakage, it is normal and Softcup is inserted correctly.
Can I have sex while wearing softcup?
Yes, you can have clean, comfortable sex while wearing Softcup. Softcup is not a contraceptive and does not protect you from sexually transmitted infections.
Can I use Softcup on light days or for spotting?
Yes, you can wear softcup on light days or when you are expecting a period to help prevent staining. Since it is not absorbent it will not cause discomfort on light days or if you are just spotting.

If it leaks after four hours or so it means the cup is full (heavy flow day) with time you will better understand how your body works with Softcup.
How do I use the reusable Softcup for fertility?!
We have heard of so many success stories from couples who conceived using this cup, that we decided to add it to our list of products. Woman have been using this nifty little cup after intercourse to keep the sperm pooled around the cervix, giving the little swimmers more time to enter through the opening in the cervix and travel to the awaiting egg. Another important reason this makes total sense, instead of lying with your bums in the air for 30 minutes after intercourse, that the natural habit of sperm is to swim upwards. Now, if you are laying with your bottom propped up on pillows, "up" will be in the opposite direction of your cervix, directing the sperm in the wrong direction! Inserting a softcup directly after intercourse is less messy and it keeps all the sperm pooled around your cervix so that you can get up and go on with your life, while knowing the sperm have all the time in the world to get where they need to go and they will be swimming upwards towards your cervix just as they are designed to do.
Softcups are easy to insert.
Many woman have experienced great success conceiving with a Softcup, but it is important to note that softcups have not been tested and thus not been cleared for use as a fertility aid.
